QUINTESSENTIAL WINDS - TRIO

Alison Robertson (Flute), Kathryn Govan (Oboe), Heather George (Clarinet).

Alison, Kathryn and Heather are 3 of Ballarat’s well known and respected wind players. All 3 players perform regularly with the Ballarat Symphony Orchestra, Quintessential Winds - Quintet, Ballarat Light Opera Company, Ballarat Lyric Theatre and the Ballarat Academy of Performing Arts. All are highly trained and dedicated musicians and music educators who believe in community involvement in the arts. Arts in the Park, Ballarat Fine Art Gallery, Organs of the Goldfields Festival, Caf_, weddings and corporate functions have been part of their busy schedule. A recent highlight for the Trio was working with Geoffrey D’Ombrain (composer/arranger/performer) for a concert at the Ballarat Fine Art Gallery. The concert featured Geoffrey’s arrangements of James Goulding’s collection of solo violin melodies from county cork 1817. A CD was produced to celebrate these wonderful arrangements.
